Announcement for UP Peace Volunteer

JUP-Nepal is a National Dalit NGO for Human Rights, Socio-economic Development, and Environmental Protection with UN ECOSOC Consultative Status. Jana Uttahn Peace Volunteer Program has been started since 2005 as a campaign for peace building process. It contributes to promote peace through capacity building, campaigning, awareness raising, advocacy, lobbying towards caste and cultural tolerance. JUP seeks committed/well motivated and energetic Dalit youths for JUP Peace Volunteer program 2008.

Applicants will need to show: Intermediate level in any disciplines, an interest in human rights, commitment to work as volunteer and demonstrate their ability to contribute the areas of social inclusion, Dalit mainstreaming, caste/cultural tolerance. Other campus students (Dalit on Non- Dalits) who have been doing their research for the partial fulfillment of their specified subjects are also encouraged to apply.
