"Life Skills Training Camp".
The "Life Skills Training Camp" is an effort to equip young people with basic life skills such as: leadership, effective communication, decision-making, empathy, creative thinking, problem solving, etc.
Youth Initiative believes that with rights tools and guidance, young people will be in a better position to tackle multifaceted problems, develop to their fullest potential and be able to grow into responsible and self sufficient adulthood.
The upcoming camp will be held from 1st march-3rd March 2008 (Saturday-Monday). The camp will be residential and will be held in Environmental Resource Center (ERC) in Sipadole, Bhaktapur. Participants will leave Kathmandu at 3 pm on Friday, 1 March 2008 and will arrive back in Kathmandu by 5 pm on Sunday, 3 March 2008.
The cost of the training (food, accommodation, training materials, stationary, trainers, etc) has been subsidised by Youth Initiative. However, participants will be required to contribute a minimum registration fee of NRs. 350 only.
Youth Initiative can accommodate only 20 participants.
