In Nepal's context virtually anything that is government run is in loss. The government spends a lot on education, but the education system is ever deteriorating. It spends on health care , quality is compromised. It distributes dal bhat to rural folks they end up getting sick and die in numbers.
Is it time for Nepal's government to let the private sector run these things? Instead of direct government involvement, the gov can provide subsidies to private sector along with tax breaks as encouragement to operate in the rural areas.

I am strongly against the government's involvement in th economy! The job of the government is be the referee not the player itself! And besides the government makes such a worse player! It already late that the government handles all these responsibilities to the private sector but the growing trend in the country suggests the opposite as you can see some very very wise people plan to develop this country by bringing the long dead communist policies!

I think there must be government aligned with private and public sector economy system. Private sectors cannot or will not provide service to the less potential area. And who has to care for those areas? If private sectors have to be given full authority, there must be justifiable guarantee that they would go even to unproductive areas. But beware the people in those areas are rather poor.
