Dear All,
This year Earth Day is expected to be the biggest yet! Hundreds of events are popping up all over the globe and April 22 should be a most memorable Earth Day. The theme of Earth Day 2008 "A Call for Climate" wants to create a global awareness and demands for action against Climate Change. With the similar spirit we are also celebrating Earth Day 2008 on April 22 in Nepal to create mass awareness, pressurize government to shift towards more energy friendly technologies and develop adaptation mechanisms to tackle Climate Change.
"Earth Day is an annual event celebrated all over the world to broaden the base of support for environmental programs, to rekindle public commitment and build community activism around the world through a broad range of events and activities. Celebrated since 1970, Earth Day brings together people from various fora for a common cause: preserve ecology of Earth."
