Oliver Stone's Looking for Fidel

In spring 2003, following a wave of hijackings, three hijackers were arrested, tried and executed in Cuba. At almost the same time, the government also arrested, convicted and imprisoned more than 75 political dissidents (including several independent journalists) for as long as 25 years.

Looking for Fidel includes fascinating conversations between Stone and Castro about Cuban politics, human rights, Castro's succession, democracy and Cuba's future.

The story of Stone's film chronicle of Fidel Castro, which began in 2002 with a three-day encounter that resulted in the sympathetic documentary Comandante, concludes with a more critical follow-up in Looking for Fidel.
