Tribhuvan Universiy (TU) has been forced to continue Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) due to intense pressure from student unions affiliated to various political parties and non-cooperation from the education ministry.

But as most of us are aware about how inefficient and undated is the PCL course , do you think it is a right decision to continue this programme instead of introducing HSEB curriculum everywhere? And what do you think about the student union protests regarding this issue? Were they genuinely concerned for the students or was their protest for their own selfish interests? Please share your views?

Yes it should be because not enough preparation has been done to replace it with HSEB level. The decision made was a haste. It's not only due to PCL but the affordability as well. The subsidized rate of HSEB has to be provided else even if the HSEN is endorsed again the conflict will emerge.

Government is spending so much of money for the undated, inefficient and unproductive course. If the course would have been updated, practical and productive for the student, then its good to have a different choice i.e. +2 and I.A. for the students.

I think P.C.L is the factory to manufacture student carders for the political parties, so its obvious that student unions affiliated to various political parties should go against the government decision of stoppling the P.C.L level, because no body wants government to close their source of production.
